What purpose does money serve in your life?

Posted on May 17th, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 17, 2007:

Money has allowed me to not have to worry about the basic necessities of life.  I have the luxury of being able to work on evolving as a person and serving the greater good.  For a long time, I judged people who (in my eyes) were materialistic. I equated money with greed and heartbreak.  I now realize  laboring with love gives people who are trying to elevate the vibration of this world the ability to really serve the greater good.  Bill and Melinda Gates  are a wonderful example of the impact  2 people have made on international health. Per Linda Goodman, my goal of giving 50% of  my  money away is a work in progress  -- with a very very long deadline ;)

It has also given me the ability to be an example for others in the choices I make as a consumer. I have the ability to spend the extra money to buy organic food, env. sustainable clothes, and fair trade goods.

I have learned so much from Linda Goodman. She was a woman who knew how to give of herself and also knew what a wonderful gift that was.  For me money has its flow and I have noticed over my life that things only get chaotic when I interrupt that natural flow with worry and stress. So I do my best to give all I can but the real trick was learning how to receive.  When I came to know my own value and realized I deserve happiness, love and a life filled with joy, things became easier. Letting go of my preconceptions and the need to do it all by myself, allowing all things to flow into my life whether or not I deem myself ready or worthy changed the everything.
