What was your favorite playground activity?

Posted on Sep 8th, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 08, 2007:

Always the swings!  I felt like I could touch the blue sky and just be with nature.  Now that I am older, I realize swinging put me in a meditative state. Sort of what swimming or rowing does to me now.  The last time I was on a swing was about 2 months ago. I never can pass up a swing set if it is empty... but now since I have HIPS and I get nauseas after being on a swing for 5 minutes... I can't enjoy it as much but those first five minutes are always bliss :)..

For whom and for what are you grateful?

Posted on Aug 11th, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 09, 2007:

I am grateful for my health, my strong legs that allow me to explore, my eyes and ears  that let me see and hear the beauty of nature, my sense of smell and taste,my voice that allows me to speak my independant thoughts, and my mind that never gets bored with learning new things.  My enthusiasm for simple things. And grateful for my family , friends, and Christopher.  Lastly, I am grateful for being able to be self-reflective and confront my projections, ego talk and be truthful with myself and others.

What's been the biggest transition of your life?

Posted on Aug 11th, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 10, 2007:

After a very difficult experience I had in 1995, my philosophy on life and my place in it, no longer worked.  I had to re-learn how to truly live in this lifetime.   I had to change how I viewed life from a glass that was half empty to one that was brimming with possibilities. The journey was difficult for the first few years but I slowly was able to change those entrenched negative, self-destructive patterns. And that is where you find me today. Happy, joyful and unconditional love for all aspects of my self (most of the time) .  Habits do die hard but once you are aware, you can spend less time in that negative state (which is your comfort zone) and eventually you CHOOSE to be at a higher vibration more and more.  You ALWAYS HAVE CHOICE. WHAT IS IT GOING TO BE TODAY?

You've got one month of complete freedom. What do you do?

Posted on Jun 7th, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 07, 2007:

I would go to South India. Spend my mornings learning ayurvedic medicine , my afternoons volunteering with a clinic, and my nights talking to my new friends, learning the tabla, and looking up at the starry night.

Pick a word of the day. Tell us about it.

Posted on May 29th, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 29, 2007:

Discombobulate: "be confusing or perplexing to; cause to be unable to think clearly. " For some weird reason it hurts my ears whenever I hear someone use this word. Bad vibes.. The first time I heard "discombobulate" was around 5 years ago and since then I hear it ALL the time.  It just feels so rough rolling off the tongue.  Yet I have found myself , more than once, only being able to use THAT word to really describe the feeling of the moment. Please make it go away. :)

What did you learn yesterday?

Posted on May 23rd, 2007 by Rebeca : Trusting the Moment Rebeca
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 23, 2007:

Wearing a rubber band on your wrist REALLY helps serve as a reminder to have your intention always before you.  I have been working on setting my intentions for the day but then don't think about them again until I get home.  Yesterday, every time I caught my mind wandering I happened to look at my wrist and WA LAH! It reminded me to bring my focus back to the present moment and realign myself with tmy goals for the day.
